PIg Festival
The Pig Festival aims to perpetuate mountain culture through gastronomy, traditions and cultural treasures, with ‘quality’ being the key word! Chat about the tracking of products with producers, taste their offerings and take part in a popular festival, complete with music and street theatre.
On the programme:
- A pig pen, containing piglets and pigs bred for mountain ham and salami
- Making, tasting and sale of cheese
- Tasting of local snails
- Woodcutter’s soup and fried potato cakes
- Savoie goats (black and white)
- Poultry, including chicks, and sale of free-range eggs.
- Making, cooking and tasting of all kinds of bread.
- Cooking demonstration using sugar, chocolate and almond paste
- Making cider the old-fashioned way.
- Pottery exhibition, plus a pottery workshop for children.
- ‘Santon’ stall with special designs for the Pig Festival
- Herbarium stall
- Conferences
